Recorded in Austin, TX at the beginning of 2020, this 4 song EP features 4 new original songs previously unreleased!
Deluxe Package Includes 4 song EP, a copy of our first EP CD "Five For The Road" (limited amount left), a cool sticker, and signed by Ruby Dee and Jorge Harada. Standard package includes EP only.
Originally to be issued as 2 singles, this EP features a split cover, labels, and sides in their musical influences. Side A features "Which Side Is Best" a 'Los Lobos Kiko-era' latin groover and "I"m Gonna Win Someday" a Texas blues rocker in the finest Austin tradition. Side B features 2 New Orleans-style rhythm and blues cuts featuring pumping piano by Earle Poole Ball (yes, that Earle Poole Ball who played piano for Johnny Cash) and a full horn section featuring Jim Trimmer on saxophone, David Lee on trumpet, and Andre Hayward on trombone. As always, the core group is Ruby Dee on lead vocals, Jorge Harada on guitars, Rick Watson on upright and electric basses, and Michael Bahan on drums and percussion.
12" EP on black vinyl.
